Loved it after 1:50

So, you're new to Trance I see. Well, what you have created here is very creative if what you are trying to make is Trance. That's a good thing.

I would really work on these couple of things for your next song. First, make a better syncopated pattern for each instrument. That way, the song can have more energy and then release it in the climax. Secondly, there needs to be some sort of chord structure in the song. The only thing that I hear is one note with odd melodies topped to each other.

Overall, there is a hint of talent in this song that just needs more work on in order to shine. Keep practicing and then you'll get there in a matter of years. :P

One more thing: I highly checking out this song by Cressida, it's called Two-O-Ten. Have a listen, and then you would get a better idea of how to structure a Trance song. However, make sure to not lose your creativity while doing so. :)

Awesome stuff!

You surely showed some talent in this House tune, man. I really like the expression and style in the chord progression. The background synths sounded sick too.

On the other hand, you put in a lot of reverb in this track. It did have a very nice atmospheric touchy feeling to it, but as a result the song lacked some energy. Also, I did not hear a lot of bass. Perhaps you should lower the reverb, and increase the bass and mid frequencies of your mix to really make this track pumpin'.

Keep up the good work, I will definitely be looking forward for more of your releases.

Could you please review me back on my latest House submission? I'm not the best at it, so maybe you could help me out on it. :)

Nice intro.

All of your instruments flowed nicely together, but I think there could have been a bigger build up towards your main theme of the song. Then again, it is only a WIP so I am sure you have thought of that. ;)

I'm terrible at reviewing WIPs, because I don't know what the other person has planned for the song. Therefore, I'll end this review now. (I am also in the public library with limited time). Excuses, I know.

By the way, I uploaded a new song incase you are interested.

Enough rambling. Me go now. BYE.

Lol, thanks! I agree about the buildup thing. I'm proud of it but I do think I could bring it out more without making the song clip. Which is what I find very hard :P.

Yeah I'm pretty bad at reviewing WiP's too, haha. Anyways thanks for reviewing!

Pretty cool.

I really like the Sci-Fi tone to this track. The main beat and the bassline sounded sick together.

However, the quality of the mix is a bit low. The bass muffles up with your percussion. To fix that, you should cut the low ends of your drums, and cut the high ends of your bass. You can do that with Parametric EQ in Fruity Loops. Mess around with it and see what sounds better and what doesn't.

Overall, that should cover up the main issues of your song. You have major potential, so keep working at it. :)

Finally someone gives me some constructive criticism, Thnx much man ill be sure to review your stuff

Beautiful.

So simple and pleasant. I enjoyed the melodies, and they captured that roaring fire scenery really well.

I didn't like the way you ended it though. The last couple notes didn't flow to well with the rest of the song. Perhaps you could have put in one last note that faded out in the end. I think that will work a lot better than what you did.

Overall, you show a lot of talent in this one song. Keep making more. :)

Awesome song!

I really like this tune, mate. Everything sounded crystal clear, and the melodies are memorable. I particularly like the snare you used. Could you tell me where I can get good snare samples like that one? I would like to use it for my techno project I am working on right now.

My only critique for this song right now is that after the second chorus part, it felt like it dreaded on for a while. I wanted something else to happen, but nothing new came in.

Overall, I thought this was a pretty solid track. You rarely find pop songs like these nowadays. Keep up the good work, bro.

Hey, thanks for the helpful review!

"I really like this tune, mate. Everything sounded crystal clear, and the melodies are memorable."

Good to hear! I'm quite proud of the melodies in this song, I think they're some of my best.

"I particularly like the snare you used. Could you tell me where I can get good snare samples like that one? I would like to use it for my techno project I am working on right now."

Of course. Here - http://www.darkbeats.com/sampleswap/ - is the source of a lot of my drum samples. They're all free, and while they're not exactly professional quality, there are so many drum samples in there that you're bound to find tonnes of hidden gems.

You're not the first to like the snare I used here (someone else said it sounds great when I used it in another song of mine, Town Theme). This one in particular is from the 5000_DRUMHITS.rar library (specifically in this filepath: SAMPLES - 5000 DRUMHITS > ACCOUSTI > AMBIENTS). If you want me to send you the snare sample on its own, just drop me a line!

"My only critique for this song right now is that after the second chorus part, it felt like it dreaded on for a while. I wanted something else to happen, but nothing new came in."

Haha I have a bit of a problem with that. Once I reach like the second chorus of a song or finish a long section of a song, I start feeling the urge to finish the track as quick as I can so I can submit it here :P. I often end up rushing the last sections of a song. Perhaps that's why you thought it got a bit boring towards the end. Although I do like the tribal-like part right after the second chorus, personally.

Thanks a million, I'll try!

"Could you please review me back on my first submission? I would appreciate the feedback. :)"

I'd love to. I'm really busy right now reviewing for a competition I'm hosting along with loads of Maths homework so I might take a long while to review I'm afraid, but I'll add it to my to-do list :3.

Thanks again!

Very nice.

I am liking the bass in this tune, man. The bass stabs were made really well, and they made the whole song a head banger. My only suggestion is that you could have made the main melody stronger in the melody parts. It also felt like you didn't let it go for very long and instead, you rushed into the main bass part. Aside from that, I enjoyed this song a lot!

Keep up the good work man. Can you please review me back on my first submission? I would appreciate it. :)

Not bad.

I really liked the part with the piano melody and the short bassline. It reminded me of Simcity 2000, so good job on that!

I only have one negative point for your song. Some parts didn't feel like they were mean't to be there, you know what I mean? Maybe you should continue the melodies from the intro and build up the song from there.

Other than that, this song has potential! Keep working at it.

Cool.

This song really captured the old retro video game style. The melodies are cool, and the 8-bit synths you used fit together really well. On the other side, your percussion and bass muffled up the mix a bit. It isn't a huge issue, but if you could clear up the lower frequencies in your mix, your song would sound a lot better.

Keep up the good work. Can you please review me back on my first submission? I would appreciate the feed back.

Not bad at all.

Your track has a sick groove, man. The bass fits really well along with the percussion. One more thing - there is something odd about your pad. The attack isn't strong enough, and there was too much release on it. I really wanted to listen to that chord progression but it kept fading away. You should keep that in mind for the next time you make a House tune.

D-Chain responds:

hey Luxomni,

thanks for listening and reviewing this little preview!
im glad you picked up the release glitchy, my note's arent long enough(didnt see it until now) and it was lagging too much release(turned it down), but i disagree about the attack tho. i like it slow and progressive.

PS; i have lots of house tune's on here perhaps check them out aswell and see if you like one :)

I use FL Studio 8 and Ableton Live 8.
